Celebrate Canada Day with Blooming Plants!

Celebrate Canada Day with Blooming Plants!

Show your spirit by adding splashes of red and white throughout your landscape.

On July 1 our country will celebrate 150 years as a nation. Why limit the celebration of this historic occasion to just one day! Add red and white plantings to your garden scheme to keep the festive spirit alive all summer long.

Canada's 150 th anniversary marks the day that our nation was officially born under the British North American Act. Originally known as 'Dominion Day' the Governor General signed a proclamation in June of 1868 requesting that all Her Majesty's subjects across Canada celebrate the anniversary of the confederation. By Canada's 100th Anniversary in 1967, many cities across the country were celebrating with festivities and events similar to what we know today, but it wasn't until October 27th 1982 that 'Dominion Day' was officially renamed 'Canada Day'.

Current celebrations have been underway since early 2017 and will continue throughout the year. Dress up your home and garden and join the party with these easy-care annuals that will provide continuous colour all summer long! Blooming annuals are perfect for planting in the landscape and growing in containers and hanging baskets for the porch, balcony, patio or deck. Red and white planters are a great way to add even more colour and don't forget to add a flag for the perfect finishing touch!
